Kelli Vance announces a large-scale art installation in downtown Houston, at the corner of Franklin and Milam streets, on view for the months of January and February 2018.
Artist Kelli Vance has created large-scale artworks that are meant to propel viewers to question their own state of mind and that of the figures in the paintings. The images and text offer an invitation to become part of the narrative and encourage us to pause and consider potential outcomes. They are frozen moments of quietude or self-recognition that ask us to venture beyond our routine thoughts and perceived reality.
This project was funded in part by the Houston Arts Alliance and the City of Houston.
