East End Adds Nautical Attraction: Houston Maritime Museum New Location Now Open
Take a voyage without leaving the dock. Houston Maritime Museum (HMM) unveiled an emblematic interactive mural of a large ocean liner on the façade of its new building in the Eastside of Houston located on Navigation and Canal Boulevard in the East End. At the helm of the project was muralist Anthony Rose and David Maldonado his collaborator. Guests are encouraged to take pictures in this oversized postcard and make their own stories.
Zú Art Collective Presents a Solo Exhibition of Alexander Arzú’s Work in ‘Andar Conmigo’
The Andar Conmigo exhibition hosted in Alexander Arzú’s personal studio located inside of Art Square Studios (2315 Commerce Street, Suite 17) will run from April 4th – 6th, 2019 from 4pm-8pm each
day for free, with the artist and curator present. There are opportunities for
private viewings for purchase through Eventbrite.
Open Artist/Vendor Call: Expressions in Afro Latinx Identity: A Multimedia Art Exhibit
Talento Bilinque de Houston (TBH) has placed an open call for artists of ALL mediums. Their gallery for the month of April will follow the theme of “Expressions in Afro Latinx Identity.” This month-long exhibit is an exploration of self-identification as a person of the Afro Latinx community.
